About the Journal

The Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada is the only national competition for book design.

In 2021, John Maxwell (SFU Publishing) and Melissa Salrin (SFU Library) were awarded a Scholarly Digitization Fund Grant through SFU Library. This project involved the digitization of years 1981 - 1994 and metadata work for years 1981 - 2018, as well as the publication of the complete book awards catalogue in Open Journal Systems, hosted by SFU Library Digital Publishing and the Public Knowledge Project.

SFU Library also hosts the Alcuin Society journal: Amphora. This project was also a recipient of the Library's Scholarly Digitization Fund in 2019.
