Abstract

A summary of the December BCRLG Lecture Series held at the University of Victoria Libraries. Dr. Malinda Desjarlais, an assistant professor in Psychology at UNBC, investigates factors that influence decision-making when novices (undergraduate students) navigate the Internet for learning and for seeking information. Her results indicate differences in selection and tracking of information on a web page as well as variability in navigation techniques and strategies.
