Abstract

BC libraries highlight Freedom to Read Week.  The IFC discusses factors involved in addressing intellectual freedom issues.  A letter regarding the G-20 gained national attention, and the IFC is currently addressing a component of Bibliocommons.

Author Biography

Jon Scop, BCLA IFC

Jon Scop is an auxiliary librarian with Burnaby and Vancouver Public Libraries.  He is currently the chair of BCLA's Intellectual Freedom Committee.  He was formally an immigration and refugee lawyer in San Francisco and Portland.
