Jessamine Liu (柳垂萱, she/her) is a queer woman of colour and a diasporic writer with roots in Taiwan, the Philippines, and China. She is a psychology graduate pursuing counselling and dabbles in poetry and other forms of art from pottery to crochet. She currently resides in the unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations, colonially known as Vancouver, BC. Jessamine’s work is also featured in Lucent Dreaming, Vancouver Chinatown Today, bitter melon poetry, and Ricepaper Magazine.
