barbara findlayââ¬â¢s life and identity are affected by the racism, anti-Semitism, ageism, classism, professionalism, sexism, heterosexism, genderism, able-bodiedism, judeo-christianism, sizism, and anglophilia of Canadian society. She is a fat, white, middle aged, anglophone, lesbian, non-trans woman lawyer and equality rights activist who was raised working class and christian and has a disability. She was locked in a mental hospital when she first realized she was queer.
