Author Guidelines

Submission Template
All submissions must use the template provided (template TBD).

Word Count
Submissions must be between 1,250 and 2,500 words long and use language that is accessible for an interdisciplinary audience. Word count does not include the abstract or references list. Works that are more than 20 words over the word count, or more than 20 words under the word count, will not be accepted. Please revise your submission to ensure that it falls within the accepted word count.

Co-authored Submissions
Co-authored papers can be submitted to the contest. In such cases, one author will complete the submission process, however, all co-authors must agree to the submission.

Article Revision and Professor Contact Information
Papers can be revised before submission in order to meet submission guidelines and to address outstanding comments from the professor or TA. Students are encouraged to attend an SLC writing consultation to support their revisions. Professors will be contacted to provide any further context necessary to allow for publication of submissions selected.

Ineligible or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
