Abstract

A lyric essay describing what it's like to lose someone suddenly, without the chance to say goodbye and get closure after their death. The narrator explores the idea of the human experience as a guest house, inspired by lines of "The Guest House" by Jellaludin Rumi. They were introduced to the poem by the person who passed away and are using it as a frame of reference for their grief.
