Doors

Abstract

“Doors” is a personal prose poem that reflects my own journey through moments of vulnerability, transition, and self-discovery. Each door in the piece represents a real memory, literal thresholds I have crossed that became emotional markers in my life. From childhood experiences to professional anxiety and intimate uncertainty, I explore how physical spaces shape inner narratives. Writing this allowed me to examine how we carry pieces of each door with us: regret, hope, confusion, bravery, and how sometimes we move forward without knowing what is next, just trusting the pull. It is about movement, memory, and the quiet courage of stepping in, even when we are scared.
