Résumé
Raised by Sri Lankan parents who yearn for connection after years of being pushed away by strictness and silence, the need for familial love is persistant but requires a new strategy. My artistic expressions were once dark and pessimistic. A scream for attention that only inflicted tensions and blame across the dining table. Now, with maturity and uneasy truths, my expressions are reflective yet hopeful for new beginnings and nurturing that heals not only my inner child-but my parents too.
