Aims and Scope
Gadfly is an open-access academic journal committed to publishing undergraduate scholarship from all subfields of Political Science. Our main aim is to facilitate undergraduate participation in academia. The journal provides a forum in which undergraduate research can be scrutinized, disseminated, and discussed by fellow undergraduates.
Our scope extends to most manifestations of political inquiry such as original research, theoretical essays, reviews, and critiques, by undergraduate students, with all sub-fields included. This journal is a space where students can reach a broader audience through open access publishing.
We have quickly grown to build a fun and diverse team of students interested in a rich dialogue around Political Science and other related fields. Unique perspectives and research interests are often encouraged.
Gadfly offers a remedy to the finite number of opportunities for undergraduates to participate in the academic discourse. After submission, students will get the chance to work alongside Gadfly staff through reviews, proofreading, and reformatting in the Gadfly style to ensure the final manuscript accurately reflects the author’s work. Once published, Gadfly encourages discussion, including submissions consisting of reviews of published work.
