Abstract
This paper was originally written for Dr. Torsten Kehler’s English 311 course Shakespeare and the Politics of Dissembling. The assignment asked students to evaluate the political errors of Shakespeare’s Richard II in light of the political advice outlined by Niccolò Machiavelli in The Prince. The paper uses MLA citation style.
