This paper was originally written for Dr. V. Gordon Rose’s Psychology 300 course Critical Analysis of Issues in Psychology. The assignment asked students to write a thesis-based research paper on any topic pertaining to the course material; a lecture on prosocial giving served as the springboard for this writing.
