SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium 2020
Vol. 1 No. 1 (2020)
SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium 2021
Vol. 2 (2021)
In 2021 the SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium went virtual! The Symposium maintained the same goals of celebrating undergraduate student research at SFU and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. Thanks to the virtual format in 2021, we were able to "flip the Symposium," with students creating five minute (max) research videos, which were posted and shared in advance. On Symposium day, student researchers were grouped into interdisciplinary panels and engaged in interdisciplinary, faculty-moderated dialogues. The 2021 SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium Journal serves as an archive of the students' abstracts, session descriptions, and research videos.
SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium 2022
Vol. 3 (2022)
The Undergraduate Research Symposium has a mission to recognize undergraduate student research and foster interdisciplinary dialogue and the 2022 iteration was a celebration of those goals. The 2022 Symposium featured students' research posters in a month-long display on the seventh floor of the W.A.C. Bennett Library on Burnaby Campus. The live Symposium event was hosted virtually. On Symposium day, student researchers were grouped into interdisciplinary panels and engaged in presentations and faculty-moderated, interdisciplinary discussions. The 2022 SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium Journal serves as an archive of the students' abstracts and research posters.
SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium 2024
Vol. 4 (2024)
Simon Fraser University's 6th Undergraduate Research Symposium (UGRS) took place on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at SFU's Burnaby, BC campus. 58 SFU undergraduate students from across disciplines presented their research in the form of 5-minute presentations or posters.
The UGRS continues to be a campus-wide, interdisciplinary showcase and celebration of the high-quality and diverse undergraduate research produced at SFU. Volume 4 of the SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium Journal serves as an archive of the 2024 student abstracts, posters, and presentation slides.
