In 2021 the SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium went virtual! The Symposium maintained the same goals of celebrating undergraduate student research at SFU and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. Thanks to the virtual format in 2021, we were able to "flip the Symposium," with students creating five minute (max) research videos, which were posted and shared in advance. On Symposium day, student researchers were grouped into interdisciplinary panels and engaged in interdisciplinary, faculty-moderated dialogues. The 2021 SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium Journal serves as an archive of the students' abstracts, session descriptions, and research videos.
