About the Journal

Purpose

AntiChamber is a peer-reviewed journal that was established with the purpose of promoting the value of articulating and engaging with alternative ideas and voices. We seek to provide and maintain a space for perspectives that depart from the perceived dominant and conventional conversations of our academic, professional, and cultural ethos. It is a space that commits to empower and express the voices that harbour meaningful dissents and divergences that can be neglected, unrecognized, and even silenced in the face of public and intellectual status quos.

We believe this is an important enterprise as the educational environment can oftentimes stifle the direct expressions of alternative viewpoints in both verbal and written forms. This stands upon an understanding of the value of productively diverging and alternative perspectives as fundamentally facilitating the flourishing of creative paradigms and the bolstering of well-accepted truths. Therefore, we are interested in students and authors desiring to challenge, question, and push the boundaries of dominant perspectives and narratives of important discourses.
