The SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium (UGRS) provides an opportunity for eligible undergraduate students from all disciplines to present their research in a friendly and supportive environment. The Symposium showcases the high quality original undergraduate research taking place across Simon Fraser University. The Symposium is a multidisciplinary forum, meaning that student presenters are able to share their research with a diverse and interdisciplinary audience.

Vol. 5 (2026): 2026 Undergraduate Research Symposium Journal
After a brief hiatus, Simon Fraser University's Undergraduate Research Symposium (UGRS) returned for it's 7th year on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 at SFU's Burnaby, BC campus. Nearly 100 SFU undergraduate students from across disciplines presented their research in the form of 5-minute presentations or posters.
The UGRS continues to be a campus-wide, interdisciplinary showcase and celebration of the high-quality and diverse undergraduate research produced at SFU. Volume 5 of the SFU Undergraduate Research Symposium Journal serves as an archive of the 2026 student abstracts, posters, and presentation slides.
