Abstract

Inspired by a personal learning experience in the EdD program in Transformational Change, this poem expresses the author's disorienting dilemma (Mezirow, 1991) as she navigated towards a more generative learning stance within the cohort.

Carol Whiteman, SFU Graduate program

Carol Whiteman is a doctoral candidate in the Transformational Change program in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser university. A multiple award winner and two-time Goveneror General's Award nominee for promiting women's equality in canada, Whiteman is best known as the co-creator of the Women In the Director's Chair (WIDC) program, a professional development offering specially designed to advance the skills, careers and fiction projects of women screen directors working in Canada.
